He has innovated a new style and technique of slide guitar suitable for playing a wide repertoire of Indian and world music genres. His notation system, glossary, tuning, strings positioning are all unique and is a pioneering work that the world has recognised today.
His work with the Guitar completes a full circle as he has been able to take back Indian music in its traditional glory to the west through the slide guitar that was brought to India via Calcutta by the legendary Tau Moe from Hawaii.
